We purchased 4 Tara side chairs in black for our dining room table in 2015. Today, in February of 2020, we replaced two of them because the "leather" was peeling off the seat.
The pros: The chairs are very comfortable, especially since the backs have a little bit of give, something we have not seen in other similar chairs. This was especially important to us because we use our dining table as a desk for our laptops, so we sit in them every day. They look great too, very sleek. Guests have admired them.
The cons: We are in our Florida condo for only six months of the year, so we only got really 2.5 years of use before 2 of them started to become unusable because of the peeling fake leather. However, we may have sat in two of them more than we did in the other two, because we didn't pay attention to rotating the chairs and sitting in them all equally. This was our first experience with fake leather. The chairs are a good price at $149, but just be aware that you will have to replace them if you use them a lot.
